The Iowa DNR is excited to welcome visitors back to Cedar Rock. We have implemented some changes in response to COVID-19. Here are some of the steps we are taking to address your safety at this time:

In an effort to reduce group size, tours of the Walter Estate at Cedar Rock will be offered by reservation only, to groups of 9 or fewer.
We encourage any touring visitors to wear a mask. Park staff and volunteers leading tours will be masked.
Increased cleaning and sanitation practices are being implemented at the park visitor center.
A new social distancing hike option is available. Cedar Rock Quick Response Hike or CR QR Hike allows guests access to the Park trails and estate grounds and the opportunity to scan codes with a smartphone and access information.
Guests can help us keep everyone safe by following social distancing guidelines and following park directives.
